			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>As <a href="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/index.php/2011/10/important-support-announcement/">previously mentioned</a>, support will be a little slower than normal for the next couple of weeks.  From Nov 7 to Nov 18 2011, our office will be closed while we take a short break before commencing some serious development work on the next major release of PhonePad.  We will still respond to your support requests, but it will take us a little longer to get back to you (typically 48 &#8211; 72 hours, instead of the usual 24 hours).</p>
<p>Only email support will be available during this period.  We will be unable to answer your phone call or return your calls.  Additionally, remote support will be unavailable.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t worry &#8211; we will respond to your emails and everything will be back to normal on Nov 19 2011.</p>
<p>Please note: Our ordering system is fully automated so if you are wanting to purchase a PhonePad license then you can still do this.  Your order will be processed and you will receive your license within a couple of minutes.</p>

This year we are taking a short break as we prepare for a new period of intensive software development, so our office will be closed from<strong> <strong>November </strong>7 to <strong>November </strong>18, 2011</strong>.  This will affect sales and support:</p>

<li>Email support will still be available, however, the response time will be up to 48 &#8211; 72 hours (rather than the normal 24 hours).</li>

<p>In this example, PhonePad has been installed on the<strong> G:</strong> drive.  The PhonePad data folder is <strong>G:\PhonePad\Data</strong>.  This has been made a shared folder by the <strong>CreateShare</strong> utility, and the share has been given the name <strong>PhonePadData</strong> (this is the default share name).</p>
<p><a href="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/CreateShare.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-452" title="PhonePad CreateShare utility" src="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/CreateShare.png" alt="" width="478" height="216" /></a>The <strong>Share Path</strong> in this example is <strong>\\MARS\PhonePadData</strong> (Mars is the name of the Host computer &#8211; yours, more than likely, has a different name).</p>
<p>This<strong> </strong> is what needs to be entered under the <strong>Local Database Directory</strong> setting in <strong>DBConnect </strong>on the other computers.</p>

<li>Run <strong>DBConnect </strong>on the other computers and enter the <strong>Share Path</strong> in the <strong>Local Database Directory</strong> field, then click <strong>OK</strong>.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>PhonePad Version 4.16 has been released and is now available for download.   This release has the following new features:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Caller ID</span></strong> &#8211; When the phone rings, PhonePad detects the caller&#8217;s phone number and displays  it in a popup message.  But that&#8217;s not all.  If the  caller is in the PhonePad Address Book, PhonePad will automatically look up and  display the caller&#8217;s details.  So you will know exactly who&#8217;s calling before you  even answer the phone.</li>
<li><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Received Calls Log</span></strong> &#8211;  Using Caller ID functionality, PhonePad will automatically keep a record of all  received calls.  If you&#8217;re away from your  phone, you can view a list of all missed calls, create a phone message, or even  call them back.</li>
<li><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Automatically Display New Messages</strong></span> &#8211; Set this option and messages will be automatically display as you receive them.</li>
<li><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Move Follow Up Notes</strong></span> &#8211; Follow up notes can be moved to another message by editing the Message ID of the note.</li>
</ul>
<p>The following issues have been fixed in this release:</p>
<ul>
<li>Fixed issue with follow up notes sometimes being assigned to the wrong message.</li>
<li>Fixed issue with new messages sometimes not being displayed in the Inbox.</li>
<li>Minor fixes.</li>
