			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>As <a href="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/index.php/2011/10/important-support-announcement/">previously mentioned</a>, support will be a little slower than normal for the next couple of weeks.  From Nov 7 to Nov 18 2011, our office will be closed while we take a short break before commencing some serious development work on the next major release of PhonePad.  We will still respond to your support requests, but it will take us a little longer to get back to you (typically 48 &#8211; 72 hours, instead of the usual 24 hours).</p>
<p>Only email support will be available during this period.  We will be unable to answer your phone call or return your calls.  Additionally, remote support will be unavailable.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t worry &#8211; we will respond to your emails and everything will be back to normal on Nov 19 2011.</p>
<p>Please note: Our ordering system is fully automated so if you are wanting to purchase a PhonePad license then you can still do this.  Your order will be processed and you will receive your license within a couple of minutes.</p>

This year we are taking a short break as we prepare for a new period of intensive software development, so our office will be closed from<strong> <strong>November </strong>7 to <strong>November </strong>18, 2011</strong>.  This will affect sales and support:</p>
<ul>
<li>Email support will still be available, however, the response time will be up to 48 &#8211; 72 hours (rather than the normal 24 hours).</li>
<li>We will not be able to respond to, or return, phone calls until <strong>November 19, 2011</strong> onwards.</li>
<li>Remote support and online chat will not be available.</li>
<li>Online ordering will still be available as this is an automated system.</li>
</ul>

<li><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Caller ID</span></strong> &#8211; When the phone rings, PhonePad detects the caller&#8217;s phone number and displays  it in a popup message.  But that&#8217;s not all.  If the  caller is in the PhonePad Address Book, PhonePad will automatically look up and  display the caller&#8217;s details.  So you will know exactly who&#8217;s calling before you  even answer the phone.</li>
<li><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Received Calls Log</span></strong> &#8211;  Using Caller ID functionality, PhonePad will automatically keep a record of all  received calls.  If you&#8217;re away from your  phone, you can view a list of all missed calls, create a phone message, or even  call them back.</li>
<li><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Automatically Display New Messages</strong></span> &#8211; Set this option and messages will be automatically display as you receive them.</li>
<li><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Move Follow Up Notes</strong></span> &#8211; Follow up notes can be moved to another message by editing the Message ID of the note.</li>
</ul>
<p>The following issues have been fixed in this release:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Christmas has come a little early for many of our <em>PhonePad </em>clients.  After many, many, many requests from clients, I&#8217;m pleased to announce the release of <em>MessageSender 5</em>.  This is a complete, from-the-ground-up, rewrite of <em><a href="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/envelopesend.png"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-408" title="Phone Log Software" src="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/envelopesend.png" alt="" width="185" height="146" /></a>MessageSender</em>.</p>
<p>So what&#8217;s so good about this new version?</p>
<p>Well, for a start, it runs as a <em>Windows service</em>.  That&#8217;s right, no longer do you have to leave your server or computer logged in to run <em>MessageSender</em>.  As long as the machine is on and Windows is running, <em>MessageSender </em>will be running too.  There have been a lot of requests for this and it&#8217;s finally here.</p>
<p>We have also added another SMS gateway provider, <a href="http://www.smsglobal.com" target="_blank"><em>SMS Global</em></a>, for forwarding PhonePad messages to your mobile/cell phones.  And more providers will be added in the coming weeks and months, providing you with even more choices.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>For the love of all that is good, if you email us and don&#8217;t receive a response within 24 hours, <strong>please</strong>, <strong>please</strong>, <strong>please</strong>, check your spam filter, junk mail folder, or whatever it is you use to filter out that nasty spam!</p>
<p>We frequently get abusive emails from clients and trial users about not having received any replies to their emails.  We answer EVERY email, so if you don&#8217;t get a reply from us it means that the email has been swallowed <a href="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/mailguy.png"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-387" title="Have you received our emails?" src="http://cybercom-software.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/mailguy.png" alt="" width="203" height="282" /></a>up somewhere along the line.  Here are the most common causes we have discovered:</p>
<ul>
<li>Spam filters have dumped our email replies in a client&#8217;s spam folder, blocked them from getting through, or just plain deleted them.  We have know way of knowing if this has happened until we get a complaint from a client saying we are morons because we haven&#8217;t replied to their emails.</li>
<li>Emails have been bounced by the client&#8217;s email server for some reason, usually because their email Inbox is full.</li>
<li>Emails have been bounced by the client&#8217;s email server because the server suddenly doesn&#8217;t know who they are.  In these cases we usually try to re-send the email and, after 2 or 3 attempts, it often (finally) gets through.</li>
<li>The client&#8217;s email address has a typo in it and so it doesn&#8217;t get delivered to them.</li>
</ul>
<p>Please remember, unless you&#8217;re actually a spammer yourself, we WILL answer your email and typically within 24 hours (or less).  If you don&#8217;t receive a reply from us, we are NOT ignoring you.   It means that something has happened to our reply after it has left our mail server.</p>
