If PhonePad is physically installed on that workstation, run DBConnect and check to make sure that the Local Database Directory setting is pointing to the PhonePad data folder.

Also, check the Inbox filter setting to make sure it's not filtering messages out. There is a blue colored bar with the title "Inbox" above the message list. On the right hand side of this bar it will display the active Inbox filter. Normally it would say "All Messages", but it may be set to something else. You can change the filter by right-clicking on this bar (not the toolbar) and selecting the message filter from the drop-down menu.

If neither of these solutions work, please email us at support@cybercom-software.com

Hi Nan,

Thanks, glad to hear you like it. :-)

It's probably the Sender Email setting. This is probably best resolved through our support channel so could you please send an email to support@cybercom-software.com, and we'll work out what the issue is.

Thanks.

Steve,

Thanks so much for the info, that seemed to work fine. I LOVE this program, after months of searching, finally found one that seems to fit the bill.

I am having an issue setting up my email however. I have tried EVERY combination I can come up with for setting up my godaddy webmail for bythecall.com. my server according to dig is: smtpout.secureserver.net, and tried ports 80, 587, 3535, and every combination of authentication possible. When setting up outlook, I use the same settings for authentication on outgoing server, as incoming.

Can you help?

-------------------------
ERROR:

I am getting this error:
220 p3plsmtpa06-07.prod.phx3.secureserver.net ESMTP
250 p3plsmtpa06-07.prod.phx3.secureserver.net
Connected to mail server.
250 Sender accepted.
ERROR: 553 Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.
221 Good bye.
Disconnected from mail server.

Hi Nan,

Yes, just do a LAN install on your PC. This will allow you to run PhonePad as a standalone application on your computer.

I woul like to use this program as a stand alone for my virtual reception business. Is ther any way to create a local user, other than peer to peer? I would like to be able to add a client, and set in out status, and take a message for that client. Is there any way to do that in this program?

It depends on the mail software you are using. If you are using Outlook Express/Windows Mail or Microsoft Outlook, under the Local Folders list on the left there should be a folder named Junk E-mail.
