Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybercom-software.com\/files\/TAPIDeviceCheck.exe\">TAPI Device Check<\/a> program.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have downloaded <em>TAPI Device Check<\/em> and run it, any TAPI devices it can &#8220;see&#8221; will be displayed in the list on the left.\u00c2\u00a0 Select a device and then click the <em>Start Listening<\/em> button.\u00c2\u00a0 Next, call the phone number the device is connected to.\u00c2\u00a0 You should see the phone number appear in the list on the right.<\/p>\n<p>Click the <em>Stop Listening<\/em> button when you have finished testing.<\/p>\n<p>The radio buttons at the bottom of the screen let you display all devices or just TAPI devices.\u00c2\u00a0 Please note that only TAPI devices will work with Caller ID.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/TAPIDeviceCheck.png\"><img data-opt-id=751999820  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1101 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/TAPIDeviceCheck.png\" alt=\"PhonePad 5 TAPI Device Check\" width=\"682\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:682\/h:442\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/TAPIDeviceCheck.png 682w, https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:300\/h:194\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/TAPIDeviceCheck.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/a>\n<h3>Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p>If you have tested your TAPI device with one of the above programs and it worked fine, then your device will work with that version of PhonePad.\u00c2\u00a0 Remember, <em>Caller ID Check<\/em> is for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PhonePad 4,<\/span> and <em>TAPI Device Check<\/em> is for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PhonePad 5<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>If you tested your TAPI device with <em>Caller ID Check<\/em> and it didn&#8217;t work, try testing it with <em>TAPI Device Check<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 You may find it works fine with that.\u00c2\u00a0 Some devices we have tested work with both programs, and others have only worked with TAPI Device Check, which is understandable as PhonePad 5 works with more devices.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a TAPI device and you&#8217;re positive it is 100% TAPI-compatible, and it doesn&#8217;t work with either test program, <a href=\"mailto:support@cybercom-software.com\">please let us know<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One more point: make sure you have the correct drivers for your device, and that you also have the latest version.\u00c2\u00a0 When we did testing with the Netcomm Roadster AM5067 device, the drivers Windows 7 installed did not work.\u00c2\u00a0 We had to download and install drivers from the Netcomm website before it would work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;re not sure whether or not your TAPI device will work with PhonePad&#8217;s Caller ID features, you can test your device using one of the test programs we have created.
