If you are using Webroot SecureAnywhere<\/strong> (a great product) and you notice that PhonePad is a bit sluggish after installing it (or installing an update), then check your Webroot settings on your Server or Host PC, and your workstations.<\/p>\n

You can do this by following these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Click the arrow icon in the System Tray\/Notification Area<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>2. Right-click on the Webroot<\/em> icon.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

3. Select Control Active Processes<\/em> from the popup menu.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

4. In this example you will see that PhonePadRun.exe<\/em> and PhonePad5Server.exe<\/em> are set to Monitor<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 This is not good<\/strong> as it will slow PhonePad down.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

5.\u00c2\u00a0 Change them both (and any other PhonePad related application) to Allow<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 You should find that PhonePad immediately speeds up.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

If you use an IT Support company then you may find that you don’t have the Control Active Processes<\/em> option.\u00c2\u00a0 They could be controlling this for you centrally.\u00c2\u00a0 In that case get in touch with them and ask them to check these settings.<\/p>\n
