Version 5.26.2 Has Been Released."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce the release of <strong>PhonePad 5.26.2 Server Update<\/strong>, which is available for immediate download.<\/p>\n<h2>Additions and Improvements<\/h2>\n<h3>Caller ID Addition<\/h3>\n<p>Support for CallerId.com devices was added.\u00c2\u00a0 The devices from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.callerid.com\">CallerId.com<\/a> are a relatively inexpensive way of adding Caller ID features to your network that are compatible with most phone systems.<\/p>\n<p>When using one of these devices (depending on the model), PhonePad will track all Incoming and Outgoing Calls, whether they are answered or not.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/CallHistory.png\"><img data-opt-id=1594917334 systems.<\/p>\n<h3>Message Overview Improvement<\/h3>\n<p>The charts on the <em>Overview<\/em> screen have been improved to make them easier to read.\u00c2\u00a0 We will also be improving the charts used elsewhere in PhonePad in upcoming releases.<\/p>\n<a Helps Us Discover and Fix Any Bugs<\/h3>\n<p>Bugs are an unfortunate side effect of software development.\u00c2\u00a0 We do our best to not introduce any bugs, and fix them as quickly as we can when they are reported to us or we find them ourselves.<a href=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ExceptionReport.png\"><img data-opt-id=52683661 debugging system built-in to PhonePad to assist us.\u00c2\u00a0 It catches, analyzes and reports any bugs to us.<\/p>\n<p>You won&#8217;t actually see this improvement as it all happens behind the scenes.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of the time, if it catches any bugs you won&#8217;t know it&#8217;s even happened as no error messages will be displayed.\u00c2\u00a0 You&#8217;ll be able to continue working without interruption but we will know about them and will start working on a fix.<\/p>\n<p>This system should help us discover and fix any bugs much quicker than before as it&#8217;s very good at tracking down those really hard to find ones.\u00c2\u00a0 And it saves time for you having to report them to us, send screenshots, and so on.\u00c2\u00a0 Although we may still have to do that occasionally.<\/p>\n<h2>Fixes<\/h2>\n<p>There are quite a few minor fixes in this release which we discovered as a result of using the new debugging system for a few days.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Various minor fixes and improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Installation Information<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> Server Updates <strong>must<\/strong> be installed on your Server or Host PC, not your workstation (unless your workstation is also the Host PC) \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they <strong>cannot<\/strong> be installed directly on your workstations.\u00c2\u00a0 Make sure all users are logged out of PhonePad as the PhonePad Server will be stopped during the update and then restarted once it has completed.\u00c2\u00a0 Workstations will be automatically updated when PhonePad 5 Workstation is started on each workstation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong>: When downloading and installing an update from your My PhonePad account, <strong>make sure it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s actually the update<\/strong> and <strong>not<\/strong> the server setup program.\u00c2\u00a0 The update will <strong>update<\/strong> your database whereas the setup program will <strong>overwrite<\/strong> it with a blank database.<\/p>\n<p>If you have the automatic update service installed then the update should automatically download and install.\u00c2\u00a0 If for some reason it doesn&#8217;t, you can download the update from your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myphonepad.com\">My PhonePad<\/a> account or by using the <strong>Application Update<\/strong> option on the <strong>System Admin<\/strong> menu in PhonePad 5.<\/p>\n<p>These updates are available for both fully licensed users and trial users.\u00c2\u00a0 For licensed users you must have a current support plan to install the
