{"id":1587,"date":"2017-11-09T22:09:36","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T22:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/?p=1587"},"modified":"2017-11-17T22:24:42","modified_gmt":"2017-11-17T22:24:42","slug":"phonepad-starts-with-blank-screen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/phonepad-starts-with-blank-screen\/","title":{"rendered":"PhonePad Starts With Blank Screen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When PhonePad starts you should normally be prompted to enter your username and password, unless you have automatic login enabled.<\/p>\n<p>If PhonePad starts with no login window and displays just a blank main window (and possibly a remote login window) then something is definitely wrong.\u00c2\u00a0 And that &#8220;wrong&#8221; is more than likely anti-virus software on your Server or Host PC intefering with one of PhonePad&#8217;s files: <em>ConfigModule.dll<\/em>.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RemoteLoginPrompt.png\"><img data-opt-id=618232521  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1588\" src=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RemoteLoginPrompt.png\" alt=\"PhonePad Phone Log\" width=\"758\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:758\/h:477\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RemoteLoginPrompt.png 758w, https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:300\/h:189\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RemoteLoginPrompt.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>We have seen this happen with the Kapersky security software.\u00c2\u00a0 It thinks that the file is infected and deletes it, causing the PhonePad startup problem.\u00c2\u00a0 We used the Kapersky Labs online scanner and it has cleared the file, so we&#8217;re not sure why it still identifies it as suspicious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/KaperskyConfigModuleScan.png\"><img data-opt-id=803492649  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1589\" src=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/KaperskyConfigModuleScan.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"806\" height=\"599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:806\/h:599\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/KaperskyConfigModuleScan.png 806w, https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:300\/h:223\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/KaperskyConfigModuleScan.png 300w, https:\/\/mld50qmdoq2m.i.optimole.com\/w:768\/h:571\/q:mauto\/ig:avif\/https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/KaperskyConfigModuleScan.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 806px) 100vw, 806px\" \/><\/a>We also used Virus Total to check ConfigModule.dll with other virus scanners.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, it clears all scans.\u00c2\u00a0 We are working with Kapersky Labs to get this problem resolved.\u00c2\u00a0 A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybercom-software.com\/knowledgebase\/article\/AA-00267\/33\/PhonePad-5\/Problems\/General-Issues\/PhonePad-5-Workstation-Starts-Without-a-Login-Screen.html\">new article<\/a> on this topic has been added to the Knowledge Base.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\">UPDATE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Kapersky Labs have now resolved this issue in an update.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are still experiencing the problem you may need to update to the Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 edition.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When PhonePad starts you should normally be prompted to enter your username and password, unless you have automatic login enabled.
