A new database relocation tool is included with this release.<\/li>\n<li>NEW: ControlCenter now has its own help file.<\/li>\n<li>IMPROVED: Significant update to database engine and various changes to the PhonePad Server have resulted in improvements to performance, stability and connectivity.<\/li>\n<li>UPDATED: ControlCenter has new settings that allow log retention periods to be set.<\/li>\n<li>UPDATED: WorkstationConfig has new settings that allow log retention periods to be set.<\/li>\n<li>UPDATED: LogManager now deletes older logs and snapshots based on retention settings in ControlCenter.<\/li>\n<li>UPDATED: Process Monitor now shows all PhonePad services running on the Server or Host PC.<\/li>\n<li>UPDATED: Database Engine updated to v2.28.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: Contact Us link in Caller ID Settings wasn&#8217;t working.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: The \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Allow Users To Send Messages Using SMS\u00e2\u20ac\u009d check box was not staying checked.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: MessageSender wasn&#8217;t clearing the queue after sending messages, resulting in messages being sent multiple times. Requires updating to MessageSender 6.5.0.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: Text messages were not being sent by MessageSender using SMS.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: In some cases AutoUpdate was not working correctly.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED: Inter-application communication was unreliable so the system used has been completely replaced with a new system. Other PhonePad applications should now close correctly when PhonePad is closed.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED &#8211; RestoreSnapshot displayed a blank message if the Restore button was click when a snapshot wasn&#8217;t selected.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED &#8211; RestoreSnapshot wouldn&#8217;t restore if the Updates folder wasn&#8217;t empty.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED &#8211; Cancelling a search doesn&#8217;t work.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED &#8211; When deleting a Personal, Public or Group folder, any messages they contained were not moved to the Deleted folder.<\/li>\n<li>FIXED &#8211; New message alerts were appearing when there were no new messages.<\/li>\n<li>REMOVED: The Port Test has been removed as all of the communication ports have been consolidated into one port.<\/li>\n<li>Various minor fixes and improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Installation Information<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> Server Updates <strong>must<\/strong> be installed on your Server or Host PC, not your workstation (unless your workstation is also the Host PC) \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they <strong>cannot<\/strong> be installed directly on your workstations.\u00c2\u00a0 Make sure all users are logged out of PhonePad as the PhonePad Server will be stopped during the update and then restarted once it has completed.\u00c2\u00a0 Workstations will be automatically updated when PhonePad 5 Workstation is started on each workstation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong>: When downloading and installing an update from your My PhonePad account, <strong>make sure it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s actually the update<\/strong> and <strong>not<\/strong> the server setup program.\u00c2\u00a0 The update will <strong>update<\/strong> your database whereas the setup program will <strong>overwrite<\/strong> it with a blank database.<\/p>\n<h3>Automatic Updates<\/h3>\n<p>If you have the automatic update service installed then the update should automatically download and install.\u00c2\u00a0 If for some reason it doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t, you can download the update from your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myphonepad.com\">My PhonePad<\/a> account.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:support@cybercom-software.com\">Support<\/a> if you have any problems or questions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad Version 5.34.0.\u00c2\u00a0 There are quite a few changes in this release: NEW: Database folders can now be located on other local drives besides the C: drive.
