{"id":562,"date":"2012-04-25T05:22:09","date_gmt":"2012-04-25T05:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/?p=562"},"modified":"2012-04-25T05:22:09","modified_gmt":"2012-04-25T05:22:09","slug":"phonepad-caller-id","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cybercom-software.com\/blog\/phonepad-caller-id\/","title":{"rendered":"PhonePad Caller ID."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PhonePad&#8217;s <em>Caller ID<\/em> feature can identify callers when they ring and automatically display their details if they are in the PhonePad Address Book.\u00c2\u00a0 The <em>Received Calls<\/em> feature keeps a history of all calls received, even when you&#8217;re out of the office.<\/p>\n<p>To use these features though, you need more than just PhonePad.\u00c2\u00a0 You will need some hardware &#8211; a TAPI-compliant device (such as a modem, telephony card, etc.) connected to your computer and telephone (or phone line).\u00c2\u00a0 The diagram below shows how it works.\u00c2\u00a0 There are four main components for TAPI.<\/p>\n<p>Your telephone is connected to the TAPI device, which is connected to your computer (if it&#8217;s an external device).
