We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad 5.9.0 Server Update.
New Features
- New: Group Inboxes. You can now send messages to a group and they will appear in a Group Inbox which can be accessed by all Group members.
- New: Option to change a Public Folder to a Personal Folder.
- New: Folder Tree now shows Groups.
- New: Reference field from phone messages has been added to message lists.
- New: Identification field from Address Book has been added to message lists.
- New: Reference and Identification columns added to Column Editor.
- New: Tip of the Day feature.
- Added: Shortcut to close PhonePad: <ctrl> <alt> <x>.
- Added Expand All and Collapse All to folder tree popup menu.
Changes and Fixes
- Fixed: When editing a user, PhonePad was still incorrectly reporting that the licensed number of users had been exceeded.
- Fixed: An “Index Out of Bounds” error related to folders.
- Fixed: Follow Up Notes list was being cleared when mouse moved over folder tree.
- Various minor fixes.
We believe we have now tracked down and fixed all of the “Index Out of Bounds” errors, but if you still experience them after your workstations have updated to 5.9.0. please contact us as soon as possible. We will need to know the steps required to reproduce the error.
Please note: Server Updates must be installed on your Server or Host PC, not your workstation (unless your workstation is also the Host PC) – they cannot be installed directly on your workstations.
Workstations will be automatically updated when PhonePad 5 Workstation is started on each workstation.
If you have PhonePad Version 5.5.0 or later you should be able to download and install this update via the Application Update feature. If you have automatic updates enabled then the update should download and install for you automatically.
You can also download the updates from your My PhonePad account.
These updates are available for both fully licensed users and trial users.
