A problem has been discovered with the Version 5.56.1 server update.
Test builds all worked fine but there was an issue with the release build during the automated build process. Due to this issue some database changes weren’t included in the update.
The problem has now been fixed and we will be releasing Version 5.56.2 within the next few hours, after we have verified that it is working correctly.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we fixed the problem as soon as we became aware of it.
We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad Version 5.56.1. This is a maintenance release.

When considering the purchase of PhonePad, one thing to think about is how quickly can you recoup your investment?.
To make this easier for you to work out, we have produced a handy little calculator.
Give it a try below by entering the number of users you would have, and the average hourly rate your staff gets paid, then click the Calculate button.
You may discover that it’s a lot sooner than you think.
Now here’s the really cool thing.
The free trial period is 8 weeks, but many trial users find that they recover the cost of PhonePad in a couple of weeks or less, while they’re still in the trial period.
That means that PhonePad has already paid for itself before they have even purchased it!
When importing contacts into PhonePad, it expects the data to be in a certain format.
Firstly, the file needs to be in CSV (Comma Separated Value) format.
Secondly, the first row of the CSV file needs to have the field name for each column in the file. This is common practice for CSV files.
And thirdly, the first row of field names need to match the field names that PhonePad is expecting, although the order doesn’t matter.
We have just released a tool to make it easier for you to ensure that your CSV file complies with these requirements, and to make changes if it doesn’t.
It’s called CSV Header Editor. Yeah, it’s not a very imaginative name but it does describe what it does. Maybe we should have spent more time coming up with a cooler sounding name.
Anyway, CSV Header Editor will check the column field names for your CSV file to make sure they match the field names PhonePad is expecting during import, and it makes it easy to change them to the correct field names if any don’t.
To change the column name, all you have to do is select the column, and then select the correct field name from the drop-down list.
We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad Version 5.55.2.
