This is all I’m saying for now, which is nothing.

Manage your phone messages quickly and easily with PhonePad!
We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad 5.22.0 Server Update, which is available for immediate download.
Not only is this new feature useful it’s a bit of fun as well. Get voice notifications when you receive new messages, when you have reminders due, and more.
You can select either female or male voices for each announcement. Of if they annoy you they can be disabled.
⦁ FIXED – Inbox not showing Uncompleted Follow Ups when Show Follow Ups on Startup setting is checked.
⦁ FIXED – Sending messages to group inboxes was not working correctly in some situations.
⦁ FIXED – Not switching to pull method when there is an error connecting to Notification server.
⦁ UPDATED – Database engine updated to latest vendor release.
⦁ Various improvements and fixes.
Please note: Server Updates must be installed on your Server or Host PC, not your workstation (unless your workstation is also the Host PC) – they cannot be installed directly on your workstations. Make sure all users are logged out of PhonePad as the PhonePad Server will be stopped during the update and then restarted once it has completed. Workstations will be automatically updated when PhonePad 5 Workstation is started on each workstation.
Important: When downloading and installing an update from your My PhonePad account, make sure it’s actually the update and not the server setup program. The update will update your database whereas the setup program will overwrite it with a blank database.
You can download the update from your My PhonePad account or by using the Application Update option on the System Admin menu in PhonePad 5.
These updates are available for both fully licensed users and trial users.
Please contact Support if you have any problems or questions.
We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad 5.21.1 Server Update, which is available for immediate download.
In the previous release a new version of Control Center was introduced. In this release there has been a small update to Control Center. On the Home screen it now displays the version number of each service. This is a quick way to check which version you are using.

The Automatic Server Update system has been completely rewritten to improve the update process. A new, separate, Windows service has been created to handle automatic updating of your server whenever a new version is released. You still have the choice to update manually or automatically.
A new Control Center enables you to manage all of your PhonePad 5 Windows services from one place.
The Home or overview screen shows the status of all services at-a-glance. In the screenshot, green shows that the PhonePad 5 Server service is running, red shows that the Auto Update service is installed but not running, and gray shows that the MessageSender service is not installed.
To manage a service, just select it from the list on the left, and then click the appropriate button.
PhonePad keeps detailed logs of system processes. These can be important for diagnosing and resolving any issues that you may experience. As each PhonePad program maintains its own log it can be a little awkward individually accessing each one.
The new Log Viewer gives you a central point for accessing all of these logs. It works on both your Server or Host PC, and workstations.
Logs are grouped by their location, ie. Server Logs and Workstation Logs. Of course you can’t view server logs on a workstation because they are located on the server.
If you get an error while using PhonePad but can’t remember what the error message said so you can report it to Cybercom Software Support, do not despair as the error message is highly likely in the log files.
Even better is the built-in Support feature. Log Viewer can collect all of your logs and email them to Cybercom Software Support.
By the way, the logs don’t contain any sensitive data from your database.

We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad 5.20.0 Server Update, which is available for immediate download.
When Dynamic Refresh was introduced to PhonePad 5 several versions ago it meant that messages could be delivered to your Inbox almost instantly. Instead of using a pull method of checking for new messages, Dynamic Refresh pushed new message notifications to each workstation.
Unfortunately on some networks Dynamic Refresh didn’t work because it was being blocked (evident by socket error # 10060 in the log files). Despite our best efforts we were unable to find out exactly what was blocking the Windows network protocols that Dynamic Refresh used.
So we have completely replaced the technology we were using for Dynamic Refresh and rewritten it from scratch. The technology and protocols now used for Dynamic Refresh don’t have the same blocking issues. The result should be better performance and faster message delivery times.

Oops. That’s a word we don’t like to hear too often.
There was an error in the server update file on our web server that was causing a problem with downloading the server update for 5.17.4.
If you were trying to update to 5.17.4 using the Application Updates feature (including automatic updates) then you would have gotten 5.17.3 instead! Very annoying.
The error in the server update file has been fixed so you should now be able to install the server update successfully.
Thank you to those who reported this issue to us.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
As mentioned back on March 10, we are taking a two week break to regroup before another onslaught of intense software development that will add many requested features to PhonePad 5, and some new products that have something to do with the web (wink, wink).
We normally only take 2 days off each year. The last time we took 2 weeks off was back in 2014.
Support will be limited during this time. There won’t be any phone, remote or chat support available, but there will still be email support. Response time will be within 48 to 72 hours, rather than our standard 24 hours but we will answer quicker if possible.
After April 20 it will be back to normal.
Thanks for your understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I don’t know if you have noticed but we have recently color-coded (colour-coded) the installers (setup programs) to make it easier to identify them when installing PhonePad 5 on your systems.
The workstation installer has an overall light blue color (colour):
You should only need to run the workstation installer once on each workstation. After this initial install your PhonePad 5 Server will automatically update each workstation when newer versions become available. Of course you will need to use the workstation installer if you add new computers to your network.
The server installer, which creates a new blank database, has a black background with blue elements:
Generally you would only use the server installer when you are installing PhonePad for the first time on your Server or Host PC. If you already have it installed on your Server or Host PC, don’t use this installer unless you want to overwrite your existing database and replace it with a blank one.
And finally server updates have a back background with orange elements:
Server Updates will update your Server or Host PC with the latest version (or the version you are installing) of the PhonePad 5 Server. The updates also include database changes and new versions of workstation software. Whenever an update is installed it will automatically back up your database and create a snapshot of your existing installation so that you can easily revert back to the previous version if something goes wrong.
So when you’re install PhonePad or updating it, please be aware of the color (colour) of the installer program. It indicates what’s about to be installed.
