Well, after a harrowing few days trying to get our email working again, followed by a server crash to top it off, we are finally back to normal. We think we’ve managed to recover the majority of emails but there may be some that have gone astray. Of course, a lot of them were spam so we don’t really care about those ones, but we do care about yours. If you’ve sent us an email in the last few days and haven’t had a response yet, please send it again. Chances are your email was probably lost when our email system decided to go on strike.
We have been experiencing some problems with our email system over the last few days and still haven’t got it rectified. If you have sent us an email then please be assured that we are not ignoring you. We apologise if you are still waiting for a response. We will respond as soon as possible, providing we can keep the email system up long enough to send out emails. 🙁
It may seem as though things have been very quiet here but that’s just because we’ve been very busy working on some new features for PhonePad as well as a new add-on.? Can’t say too much about the add-on at the moment but we think you are going to find it very useful.
Stay tuned.
We recently added PayPal as an additional payment method to the order page, providing a choice of either PayPal or Digibuy. We’ve been having a look at Google CheckOut, which looks very interesting. We might end up adding it as well.
I don’t know if you’ve tried this, but PhonePad can alert you to new messages by playing a sound.? Select Preferences from the Tools menu.? Under the Messages-1 options, you will see the Notification Sound option.

Any .wav file can be used as a notification sound that is played whenever new messages arrived.? Sure beats the boring Windows beep.
If you always send messages to the same users in PhonePad, you can save time by setting up some default recipients using the Auto Address option. Select Preferences from the Tools menu, then select the Messages-3 options.
Simply add users using the Add User button, and then select the type of messages the default recipients should be used for, eg. Phone Messages, Text Messages or Phone & Text Messages (this option can be disabled at any time by selecting None). Once this has been done, messages will be automatically addressed to the default users whenever you create a new message.
PhonePad Inbox messages can be filtered so that only the messages you want to see are displayed. The default setting is All Messages. Right-clicking on the Inbox header will display the filter menu, allowing you to select which message filter to apply.
You can set the default message filter to use under Tools/Preferences/Messages-1.
Message filtering provides an easy way to see just the messages you want.
