PhonePad Version 4.07 – Build 2 (4.7.0.2) has been released and is now available for download. Please refer to PhonePad Announcements for more information.

If you have PhonePad physically installed on each computer on your network, every time a new version of PhonePad is released, you have the problem of updating each workstation on your network. If you have a lot of workstations this can become a monumental task.

PhonePad Version 4.07 Build 1 (4.7.0.1) has been released to correct a problem with the Email Message feature.

We are pleased to announce the release of PhonePad Version 4.07. This version contains some new features as well as bug fixes. It includes the new Support Center, which provides you with a central point for all support resources.

We have? added many ways? to provide you with support for PhonePad and our other software, and most of these are accessible from the Support page on our website at http://www.cybercom-software.com/support.htm.? The Support Center will allow you to all of these? from one place on your computer.

Instructions on how to install and setup MessageSender have just been uploaded and are now available for download.? MessageSender is required if you want to use PhonePad’s Automatic Message Forwarding feature.? There is no information? on setting up forwarding messages to mobile/cell phones yet (this information is included in MessageSender’s help file though), but this? will soon? be added.

We’ve been having some teething problems after moving to the new web hosting service. All of our email addresses had to be re-created, and yours truly inadvertently entered the wrong password for one of the numerous email addresses we use. No big deal, except that the email address concerned is used exclusively by the automated systems that we developed and use extensively.

There was a difference in the new web hosting environment we had overlooked that was causing problems for our automated systems. Now these systems are designed to report any problems they have by sending us an email. Of course, this is a bit difficult if some idiot (umm, that would be me) changed the password, preventing the systems from logging in to the mail server!

So we thought everything was humming along nicely when, in fact, these systems were having problems and were unable to report them. This also affected the systems that send out emails to clients, eg. mailing list subscriptions and license requests. Oh boy. We’ve got most of them fixed now and the last one will be fixed shortly, so everything should be back to normal by the end of today.

Sorry if you didn’t receive any emails you were expecting. It’s kind of my fault.

We are planning to release PhonePad Version 4.07 within the next couple of weeks if everything stays on schedule. There will be some much requested features and some important bug fixes. MessageSender gets some improvements to cater for some fussy mail servers.
