Manage your phone messages quickly and easily with PhonePad!

Setting Default Recipients for Messages.

If you always send messages to the same users in PhonePad, you can save time by setting up some default recipients using the Auto Address option. Select Preferences from the Tools menu, then select the Messages-3 options.

Simply add users using the Add User button, and then select the type of messages the default recipients should be used for, eg. Phone Messages, Text Messages or Phone & Text Messages (this option can be disabled at any time by selecting None). Once this has been done, messages will be automatically addressed to the default users whenever you create a new message.

Filtering Inbox Messages.

PhonePad Inbox messages can be filtered so that only the messages you want to see are displayed. The default setting is All Messages. Right-clicking on the Inbox header will display the filter menu, allowing you to select which message filter to apply.

Problem with License.exe.

There was a problem with earlier versions of License.exe. If you are running PhonePad in Remote Mode and try to license PhonePad using an earlier version of License.exe, you will get an error message about active sessions. This has been fixed in the latest version of PhonePad, but you can also download an updated License.exe by clicking here.

If you have PhonePad physically installed on each computer on your network, every time a new version of PhonePad is released, you have the problem of updating each workstation on your network. If you have a lot of workstations this can become a monumental task.

New Versions Can Be a Real Pain.

New versions of PhonePad generally mean new features and fixed problems. But how do you easily upgrade PhonePad if you have it installed on 10, 50 or even 100 computers on your network? This can be a big job. Someone has to walk around to each computer, installing PhonePad one-by-one.

But don’t worry, help is on the way. In the next few days we will be releasing a utility to help you with this: NetUpdate. Available as a separate download, NetUpdate will make it easy for you to update all of the computers on your network centrally with new versions of PhonePad as they are released. And the best thing is it will be FREE.

Automatic Message Forwarding Instructions.

Instructions on how to install and setup MessageSender have just been uploaded and are now available for download.? MessageSender is required if you want to use PhonePad’s Automatic Message Forwarding feature.? There is no information? on setting up forwarding messages to mobile/cell phones yet (this information is included in MessageSender’s help file though), but this? will soon? be added.
